Can you fish bass with a spinning rod?
Can you fish bass with a spinning rod? What is the average weight of a bass? Can you catch speckled trout with a small top water frog? Also what do you think is the best all round fishing rod? What do you thik about a spinning rod, baitcasting rod, and a spincasting rod?

- You can if you like too. Good luck to you on the idea too.
- Of coursr you can catch bass on a spinning rod. The average wieght is diffrent bass in northern waters live longer but grow slower southern bass grow faster and don't live as long. I'm sorry but i don't know much about trout. I think the best rod is a baitcaster ---GudFishin---
- really the best way i think, and i use utra-lite rods and reels and only 8 lbs test line, even better yet, try catching a nice bass on a fly-rod and reelthe average size bass down here in the canals and lakes are about 4 lbs, but theres plenty of bass 8 lbs or better, and i dont have speckied trout down here im in palm beach fla, and a spinning rod&reel is a lot easy to cast and not have line tangles
- 1.) Yes, you can bass fish with any kind of rod/reel. I use a spinning reel/rod about, i don't know, 35% of the time. 2.) The average weight of the bass I catch is around 1-2 lbs. 3.) I don't know about the speckled trout question. I doubt they would take a frog, though. ~Additional Details ~ 1.) My favorite all around fishing rod is a 6' medium action spinning rod, with a spinning reel filled with 8 lb. mono. 2.) I use all three of those types of rods/reels. The best for big fish is the baitcaster. The cheapest is the spincaster. In the middle is a spinning reel. Out of all three, i would get a spinning rod & reel. Easy to use, and good all around reels. Happy fishing.
- Yes. A lot of people use spinning tackle for dropshotting and shaky head techniques.
- yes. l've gotten them up to 8lb on spin tackle though my preference is baitcasting gear. l don't use spincast. topwater frog speckled trout = brook trout, no. speckled trout = spotted weakfish, no. baitcast l use 90% or more of the time. spinning, the rest. both have their place and good qualities.
- i only use spinning rods, because i kept back lashing my baitcaster, and catch plenty of bass that are the same size that you can catch with a baitcaster.
- Yes of course! They actually use spinning outfits in Bass Tournament fishing.
- spincast is for biggners spinning is for an everyday fisher and baitcast is the hardest and for experts
